100 Posts! An Inventory of The Clout Smiths

by rangersanger

One of the projects we’ve been working on is patagoniaskitours.com and so far it’s been an amazing success. They are taking their first clients for the Ski Season and they all found the site by organic searching. That means that these are people that would have otherwise never found out about Patagonia Ski Tours. This is one of the most amazing parts about the Internet, you can start a company with so little capital and by simply understanding what a quality website and social interaction can do for you you can even market effectively for free.

This is our 100th post on the Clout Smiths and It’s been an amazing ride so far. Feedback on Social Media for Small Business Owners has been phenomenal. Everyone who reads it tells me that “It’s a fun, unintimidating and educational read,” and the people that are putting it’s advice into practice are seeing results. Myself Included. Not only are our clients seeing success but we are too. We now have a Google Page Rank of three, pretty high for a small company.  I’m getting emails from people that found our site while looking for information on Social Media and our traffic is growing exponentially.

Sumisu Shoe Co has reached 200 fans on Facebook and The Clout Smiths are nearing 100. Not bad for new companies just getting off the ground. Especially when you consider that we haven’t really sold anything yet. Instead, Patagonia Ski Tours, Sumisu Shoe Co and The Clout Smiths have all concentrated on creating great content that people are interested in.

Patagonia Ski Tours recognized the importance and power of great content early on and by doing so drove huge amounts of traffic to their site. Some of the best content (traffic wise) produced by PST (Patagonia Ski Tours) was related to the volcano eruption in the region that shut air traffic down just as the ski season approached. PST seized on this by translating local information about the volcano only available in Spanish. They became the only english language experts on the situation and web traffic naturally followed. They are continually posting great content on their website, on Twitter and on Facebook. It’s a project I am proud to be a part of.

If you are no’t already following them on Facebook and Twitter, navigate to their website at www.PatagoniaSkiTours.com and click on the badges at the bottom of the page. Not only is it a great way to see first hand what you can do on a budget of roughly $0, but also it might just convince you to go have the adventure of a lifetime.
